Corporate One donates $50,000 to the SECUF to help credit unions affected by Hurricane Irma

September 14, 2017 -- In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Corporate One has taken steps to assist credit unions in Florida who are recovering from this disaster. We have donated $50,000 to the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF) to help credit unions, their employees, and their volunteers who need immediate and long-term assistance. These funds can be used for anything from rebuilding infrastructure, purchasing equipment, operational concerns, or food and shelter.

“Our thoughts are with everyone who has experienced the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and we are fully committed to supporting all recovery efforts,” said Lee Butke, Corporate One’s President/CEO. “We are deeply concerned for those who have been dramatically affected by this hurricane, and it’s during times like these I am reminded how fortunate we are to work in an industry that is cooperative in nature, where everyone is family.”

Credit unions that need assistance in getting back up and running, can complete the SECUF’s online Disaster Status Report form.

The SECUF also has grants to provide financial relief to credit union employees and volunteers. To access the SECUF grant application form, visit the foundation’s website.

Corporate One also has a Contingency Services Guide, which outlines how we can assist our members in emergency situations, in Members Only, our online member portal. It can be found in the Member Resource Center under Business Continuity or via the news item in the News and Announcements section  on the Members Only home page.

Credit unions still experiencing operational challenges because of the storm may also contact Member Services at 866/MyCorp1 for help.
