for the month of February
As the curtain rises on 2011, the much-maligned recovery is about to celebrate two significant landmarks. At the end of January, the economy will have recorded 19 consecutive months of growth, finally surpassing the length of the Great Recession that lasted from December 2007 to July 2009 – an 18-month downturn that was the longest and harshest since the 1930s.
