Don’t forget to take advantage of Corporate One’s free training and educational resources in 2011

Over the years, Corporate One has hosted a variety of in-person events, conferences and trainings. As current economic conditions have led to a cutback in travel and conference budgets, we have also adjusted our methods of member outreach to ensure our members have the educational and product support they desire. As a result, we have turned our attention to complimentary web-based, on-demand trainings.

A little over one year ago, Corporate One launched our free online training program, which has grown to include more than 25 on-demand webinars in areas such as ACH, ACE, wire transfers, risk and share drafts. While it’s customary for corporates to charge for their trainings, Corporate One is proud to provide this benefit to our members for free. First of all, with tightened budgets, we don’t want our members to sacrifice employee development and educational growth. Secondly, we see educational opportunities such as these as another way we can help our members succeed in serving their own members.

Our Training Certification Program is professional, easy-to-use and efficient. The on-demand nature of the trainings allow members to train at a pace that works best for them while becoming more proficient on the Corporate One solutions and industry trends most relevant to their daily job duties. It’s also a great tool for managers when on-boarding new employees. The best part is that we’ve organized these trainings into specific categories, so our members can develop core competencies on the solutions they use every day—right from the comfort of their own workstation. The webinars can be paused and re-started, allowing users to train throughout the day when it’s most convenient for them and their workload. Once a member of your staff has completed all the trainings in a specific category, they receive a certificate of completion from Corporate One that recognizes them for their efforts.

And, finally, while our focus for on-going educational opportunities has shifted to those that our members can take advantage of from the comfort of their own computers, we do understand the importance and value of in-person training. Corporate One currently offers two Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) trainings each year. Although these may require members to travel, we offer the trainings for free, which make it a great value for those at your credit union who are required to complete this continuing education yearly.

Corporate One understands that part of the value we provide to our members is through on-going training and education. Our expert staff work diligently to create opportunities for our members to grow in their understanding of our solutions as well as staying updated on the latest industry changes. We encourage you to take advantage of these training opportunities and include them in your plans for 2011.
