From the CEO: Corporate One partners with Gro Solutions to expand credit unions' digital platforms

I am truly excited to announce we have partnered with Gro Solutions, a leading provider of digital growth solutions for banks and credit unions, to offer a digital account opening solution. This solution is the only complete account origination solution on the market that offers desktop, mobile web and native app versions for financial institutions’ customers and employees. With Gro Solutions as a digital partner, I believe our members will win new customers and gain a larger share of wallet. And, the pickings are ripe. Credit unions can capitalize on the lack of a comprehensive mobile-centric account opening platform within the financial services market to capture a portion of the $1.8 trillion of bank assets that switch annually.

I first met Gro Solutions’ CEO David Eads through MEMBERS Development Company (MDC), a credit union service organization of which Corporate One is part owner. MDC was designed to pool the resources and talents of the credit union movement to create opportunities for new products and services for all credit unions—a think tank, if you will. David, who had not yet launched Gro Solutions, was and is founder of Mobile Strategy Partners (MSP), which had been engaged by MDC to explore successful mobile strategies and adoptions for credit unions. Through my interactions with David and MDC, I realized there was a synergy between his strategic approach and what we at Corporate One wanted to provide to our member credit unions.

The opportunity to further develop our working relationship became a reality earlier this year when David launched Gro Solutions as a subsidiary of MSP. With the launch of Gro Solutions came the roll-out of Gro’s digital account opening solution, as it had become clear to MSP that legacy account opening solutions were failing both financial institutions and their customers. And, Gro Solutions must be on to something as they are already receiving accolades, recently being named a "Company to Watch" as part of the 2015 FinTech Forward rankings by American Banker and BAI at the BAI Retail Delivery Conference. Plus, their presentation put a buzz in the air at Fall Finovate in New York, which brings together the financial, tech and payments industries to showcase the best and brightest products and concepts to savvy enthusiasts.

As your corporate partner, we continuously look for ways to help you serve your members better and run financially successful credit unions. Recently, it hasn’t been a mystery what you want because you’ve been telling us: digital/mobile. We listened and set out to find what I believe is a truly valuable solution—one that is strategic and comprehensive and will set up your credit union to holistically serve your members with ease in the digital age. My excitement for this product is similar to when we announced our Check 21 solution, Automated Capture & Exchange (ACE). With ACE, it was the right solution at the right time, and it offered tremendous opportunities for credit unions. And, that is how I feel about this digital account opening solution.
