From the CEO: So, What Have We Done For You Lately? Let Me Tell You.

From the CEO
June 15, 2015

Dear members:

Today, consumers are always asking, “What have you done for me lately?” In an increasing competitive business world, consumers demand more from those they do business with, and successful businesses must respond with innovative, efficient and effective solutions. At your corporate, it’s no different. We expect, and want, our member/owners to demand more of us. It’s your corporate after all. That’s why we are always listening to you, trying to better understand what you need to succeed in better serving your own members.

As many of you know, Corporate One has a history of creating innovative solutions. There’s SimpliCD, the brokered CD program that allows you to invest in federally insured CDs, or inversely, use to conveniently raise liquidity. Then there’s Alliance One, which to the best of my knowledge is still the absolutely lowest cost solution available to add 5000+ additional terminals to your ATM fleet. And many of you will remember how we got you up and running on remote deposit capture, even before the largest banks, by creating a turnkey program with everything, including the PC, scanner and software that you needed to get started. Credit unions were leaders in the adoption of Check 21, and we were proud to be part of that effort. And now, we’re helping credit unions be out in front again, this time with free EMV debit and credit cards.

I’m pleased to announce Corporate One is getting our members ready for the shift to EMV credit and debit cards by absorbing the cost to reissue new card plastics with the embedded EMV chip. We know how important it is for credit unions to remain competitive, that’s why we wanted to ensure we were doing whatever we could to get members “in the EMV game.” That’s why we’ve created an EMV promotion offering free EMV cards to new users of our debit or credit platforms. Given that EMV is changing the payments landscape as I type, we felt strongly we wanted to assist our credit unions stay competitive, and I couldn’t agree more.

Coinciding with our EMV promotion, Corporate One has developed a new brand for our cards programs to help credit unions better understand the value it brings them. Beginning in May, “Clique,” will serve as the marketing umbrella for our cards offerings. It’s the same great programs, but with a fresh name and a boost of momentum that goes along with a project like this.

We landed on “Clique” for two main reasons. First, being part of the credit union movement means we’re already a part of something exceptional, so we wanted to further underscore this feeling of “belonging” for our members and their cardholders. After all, our debit and credit solutions were created specifically for them. Second, we designed our programs to be comprehensive and all encompassing—we want everything to just “click” for our credit unions users. Clique is turnkey, fully supported, and tailored specifically for small to mid-sized credit unions. One of the best benefits of Clique is that it’s a fully supported program that doesn’t end with implementation. We assist credit unions every step of the way and offer ongoing business tools and personal member support to give credit unions everything they need to grow their cards operations and achieve member goals.

Developing a brand for Corporate One’s Cards Solution has been a dream a long time in the making. Back in 2009, Corporate One forged a partnership with the leading credit union service organization (CUSO) for payments, PSCU, to create a debit and credit solution for small to mid-sized credit unions. Leveraging aggregated volumes, Corporate One took advantage of economies of scale to offer smaller and more mid-sized credit unions a world-class cards solution.

So get ready to learn more about Clique. We will have ads running in trade publications and on their websites over the coming months as we raise awareness of our new name. I welcome you to learn more by visiting Clique’s website at And, if you’d like to know more about Clique’s free EMV card promotion, you can complete a quick form on the website as the first step. Or contact our SVP, Chief Product Management Officer Keith Riddle, or our VP, Business Unit Executive Toby Thomas at 866/MyCorp1.
