NCUF and Corporate One produce new cooperative principles video

It’s time to celebrate being a cooperative!

September 4, 2015 -- We are excited to announce that The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) and Corporate One FCU have just recently released a short, animated video that discusses the benefits of being a credit-union cooperative and briefly describes the seven basic principles by which all cooperatives operate.

If you’re not already familiar with these seven principles, check them out below:

  1. Voluntary membership without discrimination
  2. Democratic member control
  3. Members’ economic participation
  4. Autonomy and independence
  5. Education, training, and information
  6. Cooperation among cooperatives
  7. Concern for community

Corporate One is, by definition, exactly what the seven cooperative principles are all about. We were built by our member credit unions working together for a common goal, making it easier for people to achieve financial success.

We’re proud to team up with the Foundation to make this video available to help credit unions spread the word about the unique and powerful principles that are the foundation of the credit union movement. We encourage you to download the video and share it far and wide to help people better understand our cooperative advantage.
