From the CEO
June 2018

Dear members:
Staying engaged with you helps drive our strategic vision of member success, and at Corporate One that vision includes providing support and value to our members through unique, fun, and practical educational events. We just wrapped up several amazing events this spring, and with summer in full swing, I’d like to share what’s on the horizon. Each one of you is invited to “save-the-dates” for these upcoming events in a city/state near you, and I hope you’ll take advantage of these opportunities to chat with us, network with peers, and remain current on industry trends and solutions that impact your credit union.

Leadership Experience 2018

By popular demand, we’re going back to “Music City”—Nashville, Tennessee—for our second annual national member event. Our new lineup of customized educational content on executive leadership looks outstanding, and we’re having a special evening outing to the Ryman Auditorium that is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. (We might even top last year’s Grand Ole Opry experience!) I hope you’ll join us for this one-of-a-kind, two-day member conference designed specifically for CEOs/Managers and executive leadership.

Mississippi Payments Update
and ACH Training

As faster payments become ever more popular, now is the time to make sure your credit union is evolving with today’s trends. These special payments updates will feature tips, trends, and solutions for today’s faster-payments marketplace and include a special focus on building your ACH origination program. We’ll also provide an overview of where the U.S. is with faster payments and digital solutions for your credit union.

Ohio CU Brew Tour:
Pints, peers and progress

The spirit of collaboration produces amazing results, which is why I am hoping you’ll join us and the Ohio Credit Union League at an upcoming CU Brew Tour stop near you. As a cooperative movement, and as leaders of organizations devoted to your success, both myself and OCUL President Paul Mercer believe it’s our role to facilitate moments that bring great minds together to share industry trends and opportunities. And the CU Brew Tour is one of many ways we create those moments. There will be complimentary brewery tours, beer tastings, food pairings, and a souvenir glass for every guest.

Florida CUs on Tap

Speaking of great results through collaborative partnerships, Corporate One and the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates are bringing the craft-beer craze to Florida’s credit unions for the third consecutive year with CUs on Tap. To date, CUs on Tap has raised $13,000 for LSCU’s FedPAC and has inspired advocacy and fostered countless connections among credit union advocates, leaders, and young professionals. This year’s six-city tour promises to be the best experience yet. Corporate One’s pre-event, Portraits of Peak Performance: Emotional Intelligence at Work, will offer free, professional headshots and the opportunity to learn how you can boost your advocacy skills by improving your emotional intelligence.

Looking forward to seeing and connecting with you at these events!
