With more than two decades of leadership experience in sales, credit unions, financial institutions, and payments, Barb Kren is the new leader of Corporate One’s Member Success team. She replaces Christine Mayes, who is now Corporate One’s EVP Chief Member Engagement Officer. We are delighted to welcome Barb and want to help you get to know her just a little bit. Enjoy the following bits of information about her professional and personal life.

Where did you work prior to Corporate One?

For many years, I worked at Vericast (formerly Harland Clarke) and held several key roles during my time there. My last position before joining Corporate One was as Vericast’s executive director for major and strategic accounts; I led a team of six with a focus on helping financial institutions solve complex business issues using data-driven marketing solutions and strategy.

What is your educational background?

I have an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the Weatherwood School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science in Family Financial Management from The Ohio State University. I also have a Digital Marketing Google Certification.

What are some of your favorite things?

I love spending quality time with my family, including my husband, Jim, and our dog, Archie (a golden retriever and lab mix) and our 17-year-old cat, Meow Meow Meow Meow. Even better is when we can travel together and enjoy time by the water and outdoors. I am forever hopeful for the Cleveland Browns and enjoy cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Guardians. Giving back to the community is extremely important to me, as well. I advocate and volunteer with the ALS Association and the Cleveland Clinic. This year, Archie, is joining me in my volunteer efforts.

What is one “fun fact” about you?

My first job was working at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. As a perk, I could throw balls with the baseball players and watch the game from the dugout.

What do you hope to bring to your new position with Corporate One?

With over two decades of leadership experience, I am focused on leading our dedicated Member Success team, fostering credit union member satisfaction, and contributing to growth through meaningful interactions and collaborative strategies. I take pride in my ability to build inclusive, high-performance teams through mentorship, coaching, and data-driven strategies, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Corporate One family.
