Effective November 16, 2026, the Federal Reserve will implement ISO 20022 updates that eliminate fully unstructured addresses. All parties must use a standardized hybrid format. The current three 35-character free-text address lines will be retired. Instead, wire messages must include at least the town and country, with optional structured elements and up to two 70-character free-text lines. 

What This Means for Members

Corporate One’s domestic wire form will be updated on November 16 to align with these requirements. Until then, continue using the current form within our online platform. If your credit union would like to test a wire file using the new address standards before November 16, please send it via encrypted email to [email protected]. The domestic wire page within our online members-only portal will be updated this fall with a revised FAQ and a preview of the new form. 

Important: If your credit union uses a third-party provider to create wire files, please confirm they will produce ISO 20022-compliant files that meet the new Fedwire standards. After November 16, FAIM-formatted wire files will no longer be accepted.
