Last month, I had the opportunity to join representatives from the five corporate credit unions that operate TranzCapture, LLC—including Corporate One—at the All Partners Meeting in St. Augustine, Florida. The day was packed with meaningful updates on the platform's current performance and upcoming improvements for the nation’s largest credit union item-processing solution.

Today, 380 Corporate One member credit unions rely on TranzCapture, and many consistently tell me how much they appreciate its ability to unify all their deposit channels. With true multi‑channel support, TranzCapture brings mobile, ATM, ITM, and branch deposits into a single, streamlined platform—eliminating the inefficiencies and risks of managing multiple systems. Several members have told me that its real‑time processing accelerates funds availability and reduces manual workload, helping credit unions operate more efficiently. And with built‑in fraud‑prevention tools that surface suspicious activity early, credit unions say they gain an added layer of protection and peace of mind.

Even as check usage continues to decline nationwide, billions are still written every year. In 2025 alone, TranzCapture processed more than 185 million checks. That ongoing volume underscores the criticality of credit unions relying on a modern, stable, and highly accurate processing platform. After spending time at this year’s meeting, I left with a renewed appreciation for how deeply committed TranzCapture is to meeting that need. Since its establishment in 2015, the CUSO has grown to support more than 4,000 credit unions—representing roughly 75% of the industry—and continues to evolve to strengthen efficiency, reliability, and security for all its users.

Below are recent improvements to the service and a look at what's coming.

Stronger Stability and Accuracy

One of the biggest themes of the meeting was the amount of behind‑the‑scenes work happening to keep TranzCapture strong and reliable. I learned about several platform improvements that will make daily operations smoother for credit unions, including:

  • Better batch balancing and out-of-balance handling, which reduces manual corrections
  • Enhanced AFS real-time integration and error remediation
  • Upgrades in security, audit logging, and Treasury check verification

These enhancements may not always be visible to frontline staff or your members, but they make a meaningful difference in operational efficiency.

User Experience Enhancements

Another major focus was improving the experience across all channels—teller, ATM/ITM, mobile, and online. Some of the updates already underway include:

  • Improved ATM/ITM capture through decoupled dependencies
  • Enhanced mobile processing with new webhook events and reject reason visibility
  • A refreshed, modern user interface with updated navigation and SSO logic
  • A new TranzCapture website with customizable branding

Increasing MICRLine Fraud Detection Efforts

Fraud was also a significant topic of discussion. I heard about a troubling trend where fraudsters embed symbols throughout the MICR line. These symbols can trick systems into accepting the item initially, only for it to fail on return, causing NCI errors that make the fraud harder to trace and recover. Partners are now analyzing how to detect these manipulated MICR lines automatically so credit unions can better prevent and mitigate fraud. It’s clear that this will be an important area of focus moving forward.

As I walked away from the meeting, one message stood out clearly: TranzCapture is evolving right alongside the credit union industry. From stability and accuracy improvements to long‑term roadmap initiatives focused on fraud reduction and future‑ready processing, the platform is anything but static. For Corporate One’s member credit unions, that’s good news. The work happening behind the scenes today is setting all of us up for stronger, more efficient, and more secure item‑processing operations in the years ahead.
