Corporate One wrapped up our final 2022 Real-Time Payments Forum this month, which concluded a successful season of educating and preparing credit unions to make important decisions about the adoption of real-time payments solutions and strategies. We hosted 17 industry-related real-time payments presentations and RTP Forums and presented three live webinars for a total of 552 attendees.

Whether it’s in person or online, bringing our members up to speed on immediate payments and discussing applicable use cases that can drive revenue, enhance offerings, and meet consumer expectations is still an ongoing initiative for Corporate One. We understand the desire to learn more about RTP, so if your credit union is looking for more resources before the end of the year, below are two faster/immediate payments certification opportunities available in the industry:

Accredited Faster Payments Professional program

Nacha, the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC) and our nation’s Payments Associations recently announced a first-of-its-kind alliance to create the Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP) program. According to the press release , Nacha launched the Faster Payments Professional (FPP) Certificate Program earlier this year, and the first modules will be available in the fourth quarter. The AFPP builds on the FPP Certificate program to offer a rigorous and centralized accreditation program allowing payments professionals to demonstrate their expertise across all faster payment types, including Same Day ACH, instant payments and wire.

Real Time Payments® Specialist Certification

Some of Corporate One’s own staff have received this certification, which is offered through BankerCollege, an online education resource for financial services. This payments certification focuses on the key aspects of real-time payments for all financial services professionals, covering rules, regulations, risks, audit implications, and much more.
